Tim Heidecker Tempe Concert reviews
Cult put on a great show!
This was my first concert at Wild Horse Pass showroom, and I went with a friend from work. Great venue, not a bad seat in the house as we sat in the balcony on the left side. Ian was the consummate frontman/singer, great with stage banter, and didn't let microphone tech issues get to him. It was great seeing a band I love without sitting through an opening act. The Cult always puts on a good show! Billy's guitar work was amazing as always, and the rest of the band is stellar. They were touring in support of a new album "Under the Midnight Sun." Take a listen; it's actually really good. They spotlighted a couple of new tunes from that album plus the best songs from their catalog mostly from Love, Electric, and Sonic Temple albums. They performed about 90 minutes, and I wish it could have been longer, but this was the last stop on their current tour. All in all, one of the best shows I've seen in a while.
